IE INDIA-SPANISH NATIONAL DAY

The Embassy of Spain in New Delhi and the Consulate of Spain in Mumbai celebrated the Spanish National Day on 16th October and 14th October respectively . The invitation to attend the events was extended to the IE India & South Asia office along with some IE Alumni. The Spanish National day was also attended by noted businessmen, politicians and diplomats. National anthems of both the countries were played by the Indian Navy Band to start the celebration. Magdalena Cruz Yabar, the charge d’affaires of the Spanish talked about how the friendship between the two countries has only blossomed in last few decades. She said, “This year’s national day is very significant as 60 years ago India and Spain developed full diplomatic relations. Since then, we have strived to create a dynamic relationship between our people and create new economic opportunities.” The event comprised of a Spanish & Indian cultural dance, dinner & cocktails. The event was a good platform for networking opportunities for the IE Team as well as the Alumni.
