The WCPP took place in Melbourne this year. IE, as a sponsor of the summit, had the privilege of taking part in symposiums and presentations about positive leadership. We discussed how to cultivate authenticity and create positive relationships in a work environment. Patricia Faison Hewlin was one of the panellists presenting research about the consequences of value alignment and misalignment. Her comment about authenticity was striking. Leaders cultivating an authentic work environment need to recognise the constraints around authenticity, which does not mean being rude and not respectful. Our society needs more respect. Thank you IE School of Human Sciences and Technology (HST) for sponsoring the World Congress of Positive Psychology and to all ie Alumni who came to the congress.
