On Sunday March 17, 2019 the IE Venture Day was held at Shenzen. The event was organized by IE Business School in partnership with the School of Economics and Management and the Center for Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzen.

On this occasion, the event focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Many organizations joined the discussions about this technology which is key for both economic and social development, with a view to exchange views, work together and jointly promote development of AI.

The IE Venture Day included keynote speeches, roundtable forums, challenge competitions, and alumni demos. Professionals from the field of AI were present throughout the day. The event was live broadcasted, and Tencent News was the media supporter, with more than 500,000 visitors through its platform.

The key part of the event was the Challenge which was designed to identify and support start-ups that have the ability to use AI, Robotics or other advanced technology to solve current social issues and challenges. The IE venture day offered real networking and investment opportunities for those entrepreneurs that have ideas that can truly address these needs and social challenges posed by these new technological advancements.
