The Communications student at IE University Susana Restrepo Arias has presented an audiovisual work to the contest “International Video Challenge for youth”, which UNESCO organizes from young people around the world in order to promote respect for cultural diversity as key part of human development. The competition offers young people the challenge of expressing the importance of multiculturalism by performing a short creative video inspired by the UNESCO 2001 Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity.  This is the first time that a Communications degree student  from the private university takes part in an international competition with work done on the premises of IE University. The video is available at the following address or just watch it directly here:

The second-year Communications student had the opportunity to cooperate with technical professionals from Medialab, an installation that is coordinated Professor Juana Abanto. The space is equipped with modern digital audio, video and photography equipment for the practical work and production of audiovisual materials by the Segovia campus students. The participants in the challenge on cultural diversity had to make a video of 90 seconds with a camera, a digital camera, mobile phone or a webcam. The top five videos were selected through a public vote on Youtube , and an international jury, based on this classification, appoints and rewards the best video to be used by UNESCO to promote universal principles of multiculturalism. UNESCO has published a website where Internet users can vote for the best video at the following address:
